A quantity of lead has been stolen from the roof of a building in the Waterside area of Derry.

About £500 worth of was removed from the roof of the Ebrington Centre on Glendermott Road at about 12.30am on November 26.

Police believe it was taken away in a silver car.

Police at Strand Road are keen to hear from anyone with information about the theft.

Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

It follows the theft from buildings on the cityside, including St Columba’s Church in the Long Tower and Nazareth House on nearby Bishop Street.
