A jury has been selected at Derry Crown Court to hear evidence, starting tomorrow, in the case of an 81-years-old local man, Philip McCallion whose from Moss Park in the Galliagh area, who denies 29 charges of sexually abusing four young girls between February 1992 and September 2001.

It took almost 90 minutes to select the jury to hear evidence in the trial, which is expected to last three weeks.

Following their selection Judge Elizabeth McCaffrey told the seven men and five womenthey were to stay away from any social media references to the case for the duration of the trial.
