A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of indecent assault charges on a male child.
Alan Lyttle (66) of Cranford Crescent in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.
He is charged with 9 counts of indecent assault on a male child on dates between August 1 1986 and June 30 1987.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Lyttle said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 10 and released on bail with a condition he has no contact with the alleged victim or any prosecution witnesses.
