Three men returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on assault and GBH with intent charges

Three men have been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on assault and grievous bodily harm with intent charges.

Tiernan Green (19) of Drumcliffe Ave in Derry, Crionnhthann O'Kane (24) and Sean O'Kane (35) both of Abbott's Walk all in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court.

All three were charged with grievous bodily harm with intent on a man on July 5 2020 and assault on a female on the same date.

Green was also charged with two other assaults on the same date and Sean O'Kane was charged with one other assault again on the same date.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

None of the men said they wanted to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

They were returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 12 and released on bail.
