Deaths in Donegal

HEGARTY, William - 3rd September 2021, beloved husband of the late Maureen, formerly of Ernest Street and Bogside, loving father of Brian, Trevor, Deirdre, Howard, Hugo and the late Mary-Jo and a much loved grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Funeral from his son’s home, 52 Grangemore Park, on Monday at 8.30am for 9 o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. William’s Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on his soul.

HUME, Patricia (Pat), nee Hone - 2nd September 2021, beloved wife of the late John, loving mother of Thérèse, Áine, Aidan, John and Mo, mother-in-law of Kevin, Willie, Kela, Gail and Dave, much loved grandmother of Aedín, Michael, Roisín, Dee, Daniel, Ruairí, Marni, Úna, Ronan, Ciara, Isabel, Eamon, Ollie, Rachel, Darragh and Aoibhe, great-grandmother of Aoibhínn and Clodagh and dear sister of May and the late Tommie, Patsy, Sadie and Ella. House and funeral private please due to current Coronavirus restrictions. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Eugene’s Cathedral on Monday at 11.00am and can be viewed live via the church webcam. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers if wished to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. SMYTH, Raymond - 3rd September 2021 (peacefully) at Longfield Nursing Home. formerly of 1 Carn Manor, a much loved brother of Betty, Gladys and the late Bill, Joyce, Wilhelmina and Avril. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and the wider family circle and friends. Funeral from his sister’s home in Dunwood Park tomorrow (Sunday) for a 2.00pm service in Ebrington Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations, if wished, in lieu of flowers to Ebrington Presbyterian Church, c/o Mrs Julie Faulkner, 22 Glenaden Hill BT47 2LJ.
