County Derry construction company Henry Brothers has started work on its new flagship office at its Magherafelt headquarters, marking a major investment in its future and reaffirming its long-standing ties to the Mid Ulster region.

With ground broken by Henry Brothers Founder, Jim Henry, and longest-serving team members Ronnie Wilson and George Scott, the expansion will deliver a modern workspace with upgraded facilities and sustainable design throughout, enhancing the working environment and supporting the company’s continued growth.

The build comes as Henry Brothers celebrates 50 years in business – a milestone reflecting half a century of innovation and excellence. This purpose-built addition will help strengthen Henry Brothers’ values of quality, sustainability, and community, ensuring the business remains well-positioned to meet future demands while retaining its roots in Magherafelt.

David Henry, CEO of Henry Group, said: “The development of this flagship office represents more than bricks and mortar; it embodies our vision for the future of Henry Brothers.

“Every element of the design has been carefully considered to create a workplace that fosters employee collaboration and wellbeing.

“From sustainable building systems to modern, flexible workspaces, this facility reflects our responsibility to the environment, our people, and the communities we serve.

“We look forward to continuing delivering high-quality projects, nurturing relationships, and contributing to the prosperity of the Mid Ulster area.”

The new Magherafelt office is expected to be completed by January 2027, with operations at the existing headquarters continuing as normal throughout the construction period.

Jody Wilkinson, Managing Director for Northern Ireland and Scotland, said: “Breaking ground on our new state-of-the-art Magherafelt office is a significant milestone for Henry Brothers.

“It reflects our ongoing pursuit of quality, growth, and providing our teams with the best possible environment to deliver excellence.

“We’re investing locally and creating a space that will support our development for many years to come, reinforcing our commitment to skills advancement, industry progress, and long-term economic prosperity across the region.”

Henry Brothers is currently delivering a portfolio of high-profile projects across Northern Ireland including the Queen’s-led Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre and Queen’s Momentum One Zero project, in addition to recently handing over a £13.5m Driver and Vehicle Test Centre in Mallusk.
