Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is encouraging residents, stakeholders and community groups across the Borough to take part in a series of upcoming consultation events aimed at shaping the future delivery of key council services.
The consultation events will provide an opportunity for the public to share their views and ideas on the provision of Arts Services, Community Development Services and Museum Services. A consultation survey is also available online and feedback gathered will help inform future planning and ensure services continue to meet the needs of local communities.
Council is keen to hear from a wide range of voices, including individuals, community organisations, artists, heritage groups, volunteers and service users.
The events will take place from 4pm to 8pm on the following dates and locations:
Tuesday, February 17 – Ballycastle, Sheskburn House (Board Room)
Wednesday, February 18 – Coleraine, Coleraine West Community Centre (Minor Hall)
Tuesday, February 24 – Ballymoney, Town Hall
Thursday, February 26 – Limavady, Roe Valley Arts Centre (O'Hampsey Room)
For those unable to attend a session in person, an online consultation session is also scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 3 from 7pm to 8.30pm. Please register to attend by emailing reception@flowerfield.org and you will be issued meeting link in due course.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, encouraged local stakeholders to get engaged in the process saying: “Causeway Coast and Glens is fortunate to have a vibrant arts and culture sector, strong community networks and a rich heritage and we are always striving to ensure those sectors are sustained and improved.
“These consultation events give people the opportunity to directly influence how our arts, community development and museum services evolve in the future. I would encourage everyone with an interest to come along, share their views and help shape services that reflect the needs and aspirations of our Council area.”
Attendees can drop in at any time during the event to speak with council officers, learn more about current services, and provide feedback in an informal and accessible setting.
A consultation survey will also be available to complete online – keep an eye on the Arts Centres’ and Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council websites and social media.
Further details on venues and consultation materials will be available on the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council website and social media channels.
