Road users are advised that the Foreglen Road in Dungiven, which was closed overnight, has now reopened.
The road was closed in both directions after a man, aged in his 60s, died after being seriously injured in the early hours of today, Sunday, November 2.
The incident happened at around 1.35am.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, but sadly died.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances, and at this time, they believe that he may have been injured in a hit and run road traffic collision.
Officers would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist.
