A family from Craigbane have raised funds for Healing Hearts at Foyle Hospice in memory of their late mum.

Healing Hearts provides specialist bereavement support for any child or young person, aged four to 18 years, who have experienced a loved one receiving the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness or death of someone close to them regardless of the cause.

The Mullan family recently raised funds for the service in memory of their late mum Shauna, who passed away in 2024.

Shauna's two daughters Aideen and Cliodhna Mullan, presented Michelle Kosky, Children and Young Person's Facilitator at Foyle Hospice with a cheque for £370, proceeds from the Female Walk, in memory of their mum.

Aideen (below) presented a second cheque to Michelle Kosky for £325.87, from the sale of Forget me not pins in her school, Thornhill College.

Foyle Hospice would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs McCullagh and all the staff at Thornhill for their support.

The money raised will go towards the Healing Hearts Children’s and young person’s bereavement support.
