Benone beach has been named as the tenth top beach in the UK, according to the public.
Benone beach has been named among the UK's top 25 beaches according to the public.
Holidu, the holiday rental portal, has analysed user review data from Google Maps for over 9,500 beaches, compiling a list of the 25 best UK beaches for 2025.
Benone beach has come in at number 10 and is the only beach in the North of Ireland to feature on the list.
The popular tourist spot on the outskirts of Limavady has a Google Maps Rating of 4.8 and 1,228 reviews on Google.
A spokesperson for Holidu said: “We created a dataset of beaches in the UK by analysing the Google Maps database for the term 'beach' in all of Europe's coastal provinces. From the 9500+ results, we filtered out all results that were not beaches.
"We then took the Google Maps user rating (out of 5 stars) for each beach and created a ranking based on the top-rated beaches, prioritising those with the most reviews.
"Beaches with less than 100 ratings were not included, as the average rating for such beaches can be interpreted as unreliable or irrelevant. The data for this 2025 ranking was collected in May 2025.”
