Invest NI's performance results show its support helped generate £630 million for the local economy over the past year

Sinn Féin MLA Emma Sheerin has welcomed Invest NI's performance results showing its support helped generate £630 million for the local economy over the past year.

Invest NI also increased its investment to 59% outside the greater Belfast area, aiming to reach 65% by the end of the three-year strategy period.

“Sinn Féin Economy Ministers have driven real change to grow the all-island economy and support local businesses, and these figures show that transformation is working,” said the party’s local economy spokesperson.

“The increase in support for areas beyond Belfast is hugely positive, helping to build a fairer economy and create opportunities across the region.

“Minister Archibald is leading that progress, delivering more good-quality jobs and attracting new investment into communities across the north.

“This is a significant economic boost and a strong foundation to build on, with the potential to continue improving the lives of workers and families in the years ahead.

“Sinn Féin in the Executive will continue working to grow the economy and build a more prosperous society for all.”
