A popular coffee shop in Limavady is set to close the doors to its premises this weekend.

Earlier today, Bob & Berts announced it would be closing its Market Street premises on Saturday, June 14.

Posting on social media, the owners of the shop, which opened in 2015, stated: “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce Bob & Berts Limavady will be closing its doors for the final time on Saturday 14th June.

After a decade of pouring flat whites, serving up spud stacks and our famous rainbow cake and sharing laughter across the tables, our lease and franchise agreement will come to an end this month.

We want to say the biggest thank you to every customer who walked through our doors - whether you popped in for a quick coffee or made us part of your daily routine, you’ve been the heart of our little coffee shop. We have loved our community in Limavady and shared so many special moments including births, marriages, transfer tests, our local teams winning trophies and so much more.”

Over the years, the business has been well known for its generosity within the local community of Limavady.

We invested over £10K in local schools and club sports teams and as a store we have raised more than £25k for local charities. It’s been incredible and we are so proud to have been in Limavady,” the post read.

Paying tribute to the ‘amazing’ staff, the spokesperson indicated that they will return in the future.

“To our amazing team - past and present - thank you for your energy, warmth, and the way you made Bob & Berts Limavady feel like home for our amazing customers.

But this isn’t goodbye forever…… We’re actively looking for a new location in Limavady and fully intend to be back! We love this town and the community too much to stay away for long.

Thank you for all the memories, support, and love over the last 10 years. We can’t wait to serve you again soon.”
