Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend returns this year from June 13 to 15, offering visitors the chance to step onto 20 working farms across Northern Ireland.

Among the farms opening their gates are Carmean Aberdeen Angus near Magherafelt.

The free to attend event invites the public to meet local farmers, experience life on a working farm, and learn more about the essential role agriculture plays in our daily lives.

Organised by the Ulster Farmers’ Union, the event is supported by Bank of Ireland as title sponsor, platinum sponsor NFU Mutual, schools’ day sponsor Asda, and event sponsors, the Livestock & Meat Commission NI, Pilgrim’s Europe, Thompsons, and the Irish Farmers Journal.

Farms from every county in Northern Ireland are participating, each offering unique activities that celebrate the region’s rich farming heritage.

On Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, Carmean Aberdeen Angus will open from 11am to 4pm.

Visitors can enjoy cookery demonstrations by the Livestock and Meat Commission on both days, craft and food stalls, local vintage tractors, and have the chance to meet various farm animals.
