Maghera singer and songwriter James Bradley.
A County Derry singer and songwriter is set to launch his new album at an event later this month.
James Bradley, from Maghera, has been writing music for over 20 years but has only been recording and releasing music in the last eight years.
The south Derry man will launch his new album entitled 'Summertime Sun & Sandy Beaches', the first in four years, with a full band on Friday, May 23 at 8pm in the Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown.
Support on the night comes from the talented Paul Casey and will also include the talents of Lauren Doherty on backing vocals, Dan Millar on guitar, Nicky Scott on Bass and Curtis Cunningham on drums.
After the success of his debut album 'Bright Lights On Broadway' James recorded an EP 'Back To Being Me', as well as his second album 'Dance Between the Raindrops' which were both released during lockdown.
The night in Cookstown will be a chance for those attending to celebrate James' new collection of songs, as well as revisit his back catalogue of music during a memorable evening of music and stories for all ages to enjoy.
“It’s my third album, but first in four years. Lockdown put an end to promotional albums and doing shows so I’m looking forward to this,” said James.
“I’m a music teacher and music based therapist and I love teaching and giving children and adults the chance to learn guitar.
“I’ve travelled the world with my music, playing in Dubai, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and recording in Zac Brown Band's Studio in Nashville.”
James added: “This album is a chance to showcase songs I’ve written from touring in Italy for a month in a motorhome as part of our honeymoon in May of last year.”
