A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrates' Court after breaching his curfew by not being at his address for seven days.
Kieran Kelly (26), of no fixed abode, was on bail for a number of offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and, as part of his bail was required to adhere to a curfew.
The court heard he had not been following the curfew for a week and had been, according to Defence Barrister Sinead Rogan, 'sofa surfing' following his mother withdrawing his bail address.
Initially unable to locate him, police later found Kelly on Craigavon Bridge and he was taken to hospital.
Bail was objected to as he had a number of previous breaches.
District Judge Ted Magill said that Kelly's 'surety had gone, his address had gone' so he deemed him not suitable for bail.
He was appear again for arraignment in Derry Crown Court on May 2.
