Dog owners are encouraged to support the fundraiser.
Calling all dog owners, is your retriever radiant, your poodle perfect, or your Bull dog beautiful? If so, Cancer Focus NI are asking them to put up their paws for a cause at this year’s Waggy Woodland Walk.
The local cancer charity are delighted to announce the return of their popular event at Springhill House in Moneymore on Saturday, May 31.
Starting at 2pm, the routes are tailored to every owner and doggo, with a choice of long and short walks and is promised to be filled with plenty of fun, including doggy stalls, raffles and a dog show judged by Cancer Focus NI ambassador and popular local comedian, Jake O’Kane.
There will be categories including, Waggiest Tail, Celebrity Lookalike, Golden Oldie, and Prettiest Pup, do you think your dog can be crowned a winner?
Humans go free at the cancer charity’s four-legged fun day with furry friend tickets costing only £10 for the first dog and £5 thereafter.
This ultiMUTT family-friendly event is not to be missed and with every dog in attendance, vital funds will be raised for the local charity’s vital services.
Emma McCann, Community Fundraising Officer at Cancer Focus NI, said: “We are completely delighted to be back at Springhill House for our third Waggy Woodland event, and we can’t wait to see you all there. Each year we need to raise £4.6 million to continue to offer support services to local people who are on their cancer journey. Just £58 will pay for 1 hour of specialist support for a local family going through a cancer diagnosis or bereavement.”
