Claudy Cycles has been reduced to ash following this morning's fire.
A County Derry business has been completely destroyed by a fire earlier this morning.
Fire crews from Dungiven and Crescent Link battled the blaze which broke out at Claudy Cycles on the Baranailt Road just before 7am.
A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said they believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
A spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to reports of fire at a commercial premises at Baranailt Road, Claudy, Derry/Londonderry. Firefighters used 2 jets and 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
"The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental and the incident was dealt with by 12.23pm.”
Posting a picture on social media of the premises, which have been reduced to little more than ash, Brian Cassidy, owner of Claudy Cycles said: “Folks, this morning our shop suffered a devastating fire which unfortunately has totally destroyed our premises.
“It will take some time for us to get back on our feet again, we will keep everyone posted
“Thank you we appreciate all the support.”
Claudy Cycles has been trading since 1978 and has been at its current location since 1982.
