Participants in the Hope and Health Matters Programme.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust (Western Trust) Limavady Multi-disciplinary Social Work Team have organised successful ‘Hope and Health Matters’ pilot programme in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and facilitated by Resilio (NI).
Dermott McFadden, Social Work Assistant said: “We are delighted with the success of our pilot programme entitled ‘Hope and Health Matters’ which was organised by Social Work Assistants in Limavady MDT and Gareth Scott, Sport and Well-being Officer, Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council and facilitated by Marie Dunne and Martin Heaney of Resilio (NI).
“The programme invited males aged 30-65 who are at risk of diabetes to take part in a two day course which looked at overcoming barriers to health with the aim of reversing / limiting that risk. Thank you to all the participants who fully engaged in this programme. Those involved will now be offered the opportunity to engage in a fitness programme at Limavady Leisure Centre and we hope this will benefit them in their physical and emotional wellbeing in the future. Well done everyone.”
