A van driver was detected driving at speeds of more than 100mph in County Derry earlier today.
The detection was made by Maydown Road Policing Interceptors on the A6 dual carriageway, near Claudy this afternoon.
The white Ford Transit van's speed was clocked at 106mph.
The incident has prompted police to issue a warning on social media.

"This goods vehicle is restricted to 60mph on a dual carriageway, this is due to their larger size and weight which makes them potentially more dangerous in an accident when travelling at a higher speed," read a post on NI Road Policing and Safety's Facebook page.
"This is a shared roadway, used by cyclists and slow moving vehicles such as tractors.
"This van driver will be appearing in court in the coming weeks.

"A further case of excessive speed was detected, a car travelling at 99mph (speed restriction 70mph on dual carriageway). Endorsable fixed penalty was issued.
"Slow down and have consideration for other road users."
