The billboard at the side of Foyleside car park
Féile Derry and the Advocacy Project at Dove House have launched digital billboards outside Foyleside Shopping Centre in Derry on International Women’s Day highlighting the campaign to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
Commenting on the launch, a spokesperson for Féile Derry said: “Derry is standing together to say – it’s time to end violence against women and girls. We felt it was important to launch this billboard today, on International Women’s Day, using one of the city’s busiest roads to make sure this powerful message is seen and heard.”
Brighdín Deane, Advocacy Worker at Dove House, added: “Ending violence against women and girls requires real action and we must all continue to work together across the community and wider society to ensure it remains a priority. We’re grateful to Foyleside Shopping Centre for helping us to share this message today and keep the conversation going.
“For anyone experiencing domestic abuse in any form - support is available. The Advocacy Project at Dove House is here to listen and to help ensure you get the support you need.
"No one should have to face abuse alone, and we encourage anyone in need to reach out for free confidential support and guidance by contacting us on 028 71 269327.”
