It is understood a young woman has passed away following a road traffic collision in County Derry.
Earlier today, police issued a statement saying that the Windyhill Road in Macosquin, outside Coleraine, was closed following a serious two-vehicle collision.
A short time ago, the Life After charity, an organisation which offers support services to the family and friends of those who have lost their lives through a road traffic collision, confirmed that there has been a fatality.
In a statement online, Life After said: "We are saddened to hear that a young female has passed away after being involved in an RTC on the Windyhill Road between Limavady and Coleraine today.
"Could everyone please keep the victim's family in your thoughts and prayers as they come to terms with this traumatic event.
"We at Life After offer our deepest sympathies to the family and can assure them that support and assistance is available if or when needed."
