PSNI appeal for information following early morning attack on house in Dungiven

It’s believed the damage to the property in the Bleach Green area was caused by a sledgehammer or other heavy object

The PSNI are investigating the attack.

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage caused to a house in Dungiven.

Shortly after 3.10am on Sunday morning, September 15, it was reported the front door of a property in the Bleach Green area had been extensively damaged by a number of people.

It’s believed the damage was caused by a sledgehammer or other heavy object. No injuries were reported

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Our enquiries are continuing and anyone with information that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 240 15/09/24.

"A report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/
