Flowerfield presents an evening with Cahal Masterson in celebration of 190 years of Johannes Brahms

Portstewart's Flowerfield Arts Centre will host an enchanting evening of classical music featuring the talented pianist, Cahal Masterson.

In homage to Johannes Brahms and to celebrate his 190th anniversary, Masterson will captivate the audience with his extraordinary emotive piano interpretations.

On this special evening, Flowerfield Arts Centre invites music enthusiasts to revel in the magic of his music, expertly performed by the accomplished pianist, Cahal Masterson.

The ‘Brahms at the Piano’ concert, on Friday, October 27 at 8pm will showcase the Brahms compositions that continue to inspire generations.

Masterson, a rising star in the world of classical music, hails from Northern Ireland and holds an impressive musical background.

Having studied Music Performance at Dublin Royal Irish Academy of Music under the mentorship of Dr. John O’Conor, Masterson further honed his skills by completing his Master’s at Shenandoah University, USA.

He has graced stages across Europe, North America, and China, earning accolades for his poetic expression and rare musicianship.

David Richards, from Toronto Concert Reviews, describes Masterson as “an artist worthy of attention,” highlighting his remarkable talent and dedication to the art of piano performance.

Johannes Brahms remains one of the most revered composers of the Romantic era, a timeless icon in the world of classical music.
