Charles Joghin (Denis McGuinness) The last man to leave Titanic alive.
A warm welcome has been extended to Derry from Inishowen regarding the not to be missed annual Cairn Theatre Group summer production.
Based in Greencastle, the group is staging 'A Titanic Story' this year and is inviting Derry people and any visitors home on holidays to come along “for a great evening's entertainment”.
“A Titanic Story' was written by well known song smith, Patsy Cavanagh.
Speaking to Derry Now, Patsy said: “Through drama, humour, song and story, it tells the story from the farewell party to the court hearings after the tragedy.
"The Cairn Theatre Group has been presenting musical / dramas since 2001 and over the years our hows have become a midweek attraction for locals and visitors alike
“'A Titanic Story' includes plenty of well loved songs plus some very humorous drama despite the darkness of the theme.
“It runs every Tuesday evening during July and August and we look forward to welcoming old friends and new patrons to The Cairn. Prior booking is advised as seating is limited and we don't want to disappoint anyone,” said Patsy.
The Cairn can be contacted at: 00353 74 938 1104 or email: patsycavanagh2@gmail.com.
