The death has taken place of Eddie Devlin, July 14, 2023, peacefully at his home, 3 High Park, beloved husband of the late Margaret, loving father of Jacqueline, Martin and Sharon, a devoted grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law, dear son of the late Grace and Eddie (Ding), a loving brother of Ann, Sean, Philip, Tony, Charlie and the late Lena, Margaret, Mary, Patsy and Martin and a dear and loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Funeral leaving his home today (Monday, July 17) at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Basil (Joseph) Wilson, 24 Northland Parade.

The death has occurred of Basil (Joseph) Wilson, July 13, 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, dearly beloved husband of the late Lily (Morahan) and loving father of Joseph, Marian (Mullan) and John. Devoted grandfather to Matthew, Sean, Aidan, Robyn, Adam and Cathal and great-grandfather to Éabha and Cadhla. Cherished brother of Jackie, Norma and Faye and dear father-in-law to Adrian and Michaela. Much loved brother-in-law to Bridie (McDowell) and David Dunne and a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Wake commencing at his home, 24 Northland Parade, at 11:00am on Saturday, July 15.

Funeral service at his home on Sunday, July 16, at 11:00am, leaving there at 11:30am for burial in the City Cemetery at 12:00noon.

Hugh Herron, 68, Glen Road, Derry.

The death has occurred of Hugh Herron, July 14, 2023 peacefully at Oakleaf Care Home, beloved husband of the late Marjorie, son of the late Margaret and Charles (Grafton Street) dear brother of Charles, Margaret (Callaghan) and the late Nellie and Robert and a much loved uncle.

His remains will be reposing in his home, 68 Glen Road, on Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 11 am for 11.30 am Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery.

Susan “Susie” Meador (née Friel)

The death has occurred of Susan “Susie” Meador (née Friel), surrounded by her sisters Marty, Bernie and niece Jacqueline on July 13, 2023. May she rest in peace.

Late of Oedessa, Texas.

Beloved wife of the late Jim R.I.P. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Mary R.I.P. (St Column’s Well and Drumcliffe Avenue, Derry).

Loving sister of Mimi, Kay, Phyllis, Marty, Bernie and the late Gracie, Eddie, Fia and Jimmy R.I.P. A devoted aunt and great aunt. Deeply regretted by her brother in law Stormy, the entire family circle in Derry, England and America and her devoted friends in Oedessa, Texas.

Frank Shortt, The Old Rectory, Clar, Redcastle

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital  of Frank Shortt, The Old Rectory, Clar, Redcastle.
 
Deeply missed by his loving wife Sally, sons Jalisco and wife Siobhan (Letterkenny) and Kristian (Seychelles), daughters Natasha and partner Salvatore (Sicily), Zabrina and partner Istvan (Dublin) and Azariah (Derry), sister Celia Duggan (Dublin), grandchildren Reece, Chiara, Fabio, Navarra, Kaymin, Gaetano, Zara, Kristian, Reuben and Abbi and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.
 
Frank is predeceased by his infant son Kelly Raphael Bosco. Rest in Peace

Frank’s remains will be reposing at his late residence, which is private please.

The death has occurred of John Breen, July 12, 2023, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father of Gary, Karen, Siobhan, step-father of Liam and the late Ciaran, devoted grandfather of Caleb, Chris, Fionn, Oliver, Amelia, Conor, Abby, Jake and Brodie, dear brother of Kevin, Noel, Raymond, Jimmy, Margaret, Marion and the late Dermot and Brendan.

John will be reposing at his home 1, Ballyderowen, Burnfoot, on Thursday 13 July from 4:00 pm.

The death has occurred of Tommy McCamphill (Kilrea), July 12, 2023, suddenly but peacefully, beloved husband of Mary (née McKay); much loved father of Martin, Cathy (Boreland), Joanna (McGuigan) and Edel (Boyd); father-in-law of Sharon, Tony, Mo and Adrian and a much adored Granda.

Dear brother of Eddie, Evelyn, Francis, Mary, Malachy, Brian, Bernie and the late Seamus.

Tommy’s wake will commence on Thursday at 2pm. Family time 10pm to 10am.

Funeral from his late residence, 62 Moneygran Road, on Saturday at 10:15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumagarner. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place of Janet Thorpe peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on July 11, 2023, late of Protestant Street, Limavady.

Much loved wife of the late Harold, loving Mother of Jason and Jeremy, dear Mother-in-law of Shona and devoted grandmother of Lucy. Dear sister of Billy, Cecil, Smoky and the late Brian.

Friends and family welcome to call at Jeremy and Shona's home, 6 Glenside Brae, Limavady from 11am to 10pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Friends and family also welcome to call at Browns Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to First Limavady Presbyterian Church.

Funeral will be held in First Limavady Presbyterian Church on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 12 noon.
