The Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) has hosted afternoon tea in Derry's Bishop Gate Hotel for local carers.

The event was organised by the Trust’s Adult Mental Health and Disability Service in order to support carers and acknowledge the "invaluable" work they do.

This was the first of three such events taking place across the Trust area over the summer months.

Anyone who is looking after a family member or friend with an illness or a disability and would like to register as an unpaid carer with the Western Trust, is asked to email Carers.Support1@westerntrust.hscni.net or telephone Caroline on 028 6634 4217 to request a consent form.
