Derry Court: Pre-sentence report ordered to woman who damaged local bar

She admitted causing damage valued at £1,500

A pre-sentence report has been ordered in regard to a woman who admitted causing damage valued at £1,500 to a local bar.

Florence Amanda Cullen (43) of Chapel Road in Derry admitted two charges of being disorderly in a licensed premises and criminal damage on February 25.

The court heard that staff at Duke's Bar had previously barred the defendant from the premises and on the date she entered the bar. 

CCTV showed the defendant in the bar then leaving and then re-entering the premises before throwing a glass that damaged a till screen causing damage valued at £1,500.

Defence counsel Sinead Rogan said her client was currently seeking help for her alcohol issues. 

Deputy District Judge Paul Copeland said it was a case where a pre-sentence report was required and adjourned the case until June 2.
