Sumeeta's workshops on 'How to use herbs in your daily life' are very popular
To celebrate International Womens’ Day, Waterside Women's Centre has organised two workshops on how to use herbs in your daily life.
The workshops, will run from 9.15am to 11.30am, and will be facilitated by Sumeeta Gupta.
Sumeeta graduated as a Doctor of Ayurvedic medicine from Mumbai University in 1997 and practised medicine for 5 years before coming to Northern Ireland in 2002.
Alongside running the Foyle Kumon study centre, Sumeeta also facilitates workshops throughout the city and beyond promoting the use of herbs and spices in our daily life to maintain health and wellbeing.
In the past 10 years she has worked extensively with the Pink Ladies, the Carer’s Trust, Derry City and Strabane District Council, and various community groups. She is also associated with the Acorns Farms Project, with the intention of educating and promoting the importance of people growing their own herbs and organic food and using them to enhance their family’s health.
Sumeeta will be running a six-weeks course this spring at the Waterside Women Centre called: Health in your hands: how to use herbs in your daily life. The course begins on April 17.
