Derry Court: Bail granted for man charged with criminal damage in his mother's house

Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 28 charges

A man charged with criminal damage to items in his mother's house has been granted bail at Derry Magistrate's Court on condition he has no contact with her. 

Thirty-year-old Gary Curley faced a charge of criminal damage on February 13.

A police officer connected the accused to the charge.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said it was agreed that Curley could be released on bail to an address approved by police.

Curley was granted bail on condition that he observes a curfew, has no contact with his mother and abstains from alcohol and non prescription drugs.

He will appear again on March 9.
