Derry Church leaders visit North West Islamic Centre

Last weekend Derry Church leaders visited the North West Islamic Centre, the first event of its kind held in the city.

Bishop of Derry Donal McKeown and Rev David Latimer, the former minister of First Derry Presbyterian Church, were in attendance alongside other community members from Muslim and non Muslim faith.

During their first visit, they received a tour of the center and were introduced to the community and charity work that the center provides locally.

They further engaged in talking with members of the Muslim community and offered condolences to the relatives of the victims of the recent earthquake in Tukey and Syria.
