Glee star Damian McGinty will be one of a number of special guests appearing at a charity carol service being held in Derry this evening.
The event, which will also feature operatic star Margaret Keys, is taking place in the historical Christ Church on Infirmary Road.
The duo will be joined by local musician groups and choirs for the NSPCC's ChildLine third annual 'Carols by Candleight.'
Among those performing will be the Christ Church choir, students from the McGinley School of Music and Maiden Gospel- the city’s newest choir.
Organiser, Denise O'Boyle, said tonight's audience would be in for a "real treat"
She added: 'Funds raised through the event will help ensure counsellors at the ChildLine Foyle base can be there for the children and young people for whom Christmas isn’t such a special time, listening to them, providing advice and support and being there for them when they can’t talk to anyone else about what they’re going through.’
Last December counsellors at the Foyle ChildLine base carried out 373 counselling sessions with children and young people concerned about self harm, low self esteem, family relationships, suicide and bullying.
Tickets, which cost £10 each, £25 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) or £4 for supervised under 18s, can be purchased from Denise O’Boyle at Thomas the Goldsmith, 7 Pump Street, or by contacting Denise on 07981537799.
