Dust off your dancing shoes and head to Foyleside Shopping Centre this May Day Weekend to experience a jazz extravaganza like you have never seen before!
Taking place from April 27 – May 1, the centre will be alive with the sound of music as some of the jazz scene’s biggest names journey to the North West for the annual City of Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival, stopping in Foyleside along the way.
Organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council and now in its 16th year, the Festival offers music lovers a fantastic programme of live music and is one of the most talked about social events of the year.
Foyleside will be full of activity for five days, as the centre marks the highly-anticipated occasion. Here’s a taste of what you can expect:
On Thursday, April 27 the Bourbon Swing Band will be performing at 4pm.
On Friday, April 28 The Jive Aces will be performing at 1pm and the Calgach Singers at 7pm.
On Saturday, April 29 the Café Jazz Project will be performing at 1pm and Les Swingin Lovers at 3pm.
On Sunday, April 30th Ricky Cool & The In Crowd are performing at 2pm.
On Monday, May 1st Kings of Rhythm will be performing at 2pm.
