Foyle MP Mark Durkan backs Christmas ‘Designated Driver’ campaign

SDLP Foyle MP Mark Durkan is supporting the Coca-Cola annual “Designated Driver” campaign which aims to keep roads in Derry and throughout the North safe over the festive period.

“Designated Drivers” are encouraged to visit www.DesignatedDriver.ie to download a voucher entitling them to two free soft drinks when presented at participating venues in pubs, restaurants and hotels throughout the North – including many in Derry.

Mr Durkan said: “I’m delighted to support Coca-Cola’s Designated Driver campaign which aims to keep roads in Derry and throughout the North safe over the festive period.

“It is a fantastic initiative which rewards drivers for being responsible.

“It is important to take precautions getting to and from festivities, whether by appointing a designated driver or making other arrangements.

“This campaign makes it easier for people to do the right thing and helps us to bring people home safely this Christmas.”
