Final preparations are being made for a speech by former US President Bill Clinton in Derry's Guildhall Square this lunchtime.

President Clinton (pictured above during his last visit to the city) will attend a private event in the Guildhall this morning, before speaking to a crowd in the Guildhall Square.

During his speech he will pay tribute to the peace process efforts of former SDLP leader John Hume.

There will also be performances during the event from Derry’s own Phil Coulter and the University of Ulster choir.

Motorists have been warned to expect some minor traffic disruption and delays during the city centre event.
