Shaun Harkin (People Before Profit Alliance)
Elected to Derry City and Strabane Council in 2019, Harkin raised eyebrows by gaining a seat for People Before Profit at the expense of Sinn Féin in the Foyleside electoral ward.
He subsequently stood for the party at the 2017 Westminster election, polling third, and in the 2019 Westminster election, where he polled in fourth place behind Aontú's Anne McCloskey.
An outspoken representative, on his selection he accused the Stormont Executive of 'botching the pandemic response' and compared it to the Conservative government in Westminster.
