The SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season-opener between Derry City and Sligo Rovers at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium will now be televised live on Virgin Media Two tonight (Friday, February 6 2026).

To facilitate the live broadcast, the kick-off time has been moved to the slightly later time of 8:00pm (originally scheduled for 7:45pm).

The fixture was selected for coverage following the postponement of the originally scheduled broadcast, Shamrock Rovers versus Dundalk at Tallaght Stadium, which was called off earlier today due to a waterlogged pitch.

Virgin Media Television has moved quickly to ensure fans can still enjoy live domestic action on the opening night of the 2026 season by switching their cameras to the North West.
