The late Gavan Harkin.
The Gavan Harkin Memorial Cup begins again this evening, a competition held in memory of a much-loved Rosemount man.
The competition kicks off tonight when Rosemount meet Ballymac and will continue with Newell meeting Phoenix.
The action continues tomorrow night with Institute U20s meeting Foyle Harps and Carrowreagh Celtic against Ardmore.
The semi-finals will be placed on Thursday night with the final taking place on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday is not just about the final however, with a charity game featuring friends and family of Gavan’s set to be played with all money raised going to the Northland Centre.

The winners of last year’s competition, Trojans.
Last year’s competition was won by Trojans, who beat Foyle Harps in the final, but there will be a new name on the trophy this time around.
The eight teams involved will fight it out in the nine-a-side competition to lift the cup and prize fund of £1,000.
Gavan Harkin was a popular member of Rosemount FC before he passed away two years ago at the age of 51, and since then his friends and family have worked together in his honour, with this local football tournament a popular choice.
The large crowds which attended throughout last year’s competition were a testament to that with organisers hoping for similar numbers again in the second year of the competition.
The organisers are encouraging anyone who wishes to watch a week full of entertaining, high-octane football in the memory of a beloved pillar of Rosemount football club to come out and show their support.
