Tyainon and Aurora Cartin took home four golds and one silver
A pair of Derry siblings were successful at the Elite World Championships held at the weekend.
Tyainon and Aurora Cartin won four golds and one silver between them at the competition.
Tyainon achieved three gold, winning in gi and no gi divisions. He completed his successful haul of gold by winning the absolute division, open to anyone who placed first, second or third on the day over all divisions.
Younger sibling Aurora collected a gold in the gi division. In the no gi division Aurora was winning and mistakenly gave up two points to her opponent to claim silver. During two of her matches she achieved submissions of 24 secs and 17 seconds.
The pair have had a successful career in Brazilian jiu-jitsu to this point having been crowned elite world champions and Irish Open champions.
