Brunswick Moviebowl was the place to be on Wednesday morning for the premiere of 'Teenage Kicks by Ardnashee featuring The Undertones'.
The brand new music video was filmed at the Ryan McBride Brandywell back in December 2024 as part of the "Different Together" project, which aims to make the city and district more accessible and inclusive for everyone, particularly those with additional needs. Produced by and in memory of lifelong Derry City fan Vinny Cunningham, the video, now available on Derry City FC social media channels is emotional, energetic and a whole lot of fun.
In November 2024, Derry City's Supporters Liaison Officer Karen Pyne approached Vinny with the idea of an inclusion project to bring students from Ardnashee School and College to the Brandywell for a performance of Teenage Kicks, with The Undertones.
Vinny then threw himself into producing and filming the project, creating a showcase for the town he loved so well. It was to be the last project he worked on as he sadly passed away and it has now become a warm and fitting tribute to a life spent highlighting the talent, energy and positivity that was all around him in the students of Ardnashee and in the team and the city he dedicated his life to.
On December 5 of last year, Ardashee students accepted the invitation and descended on the Brandywell, joining Derry City players to breath fresh life of a new generation into the club's anthem.

Derry City players Danny Mullen and Ciaron Harkin were in attendance yesterday, as were Board members Tony O'Doherty and Patrick Simpson Junior, alongside special guests Deputy Mayor Alderman Niree McMorris, SDLP MLA Mark H Durkan, and Undertones member Mickey Bradley.
"The morning was absolutely amazing and it was very emotional," Karen said. "I was delighted to see all young youngsters, their families, staff from Ardnashee and everyone at Brunswick Moviebowl. The excitement was fierce and everything fell into place to make it a memorable occasion.

"I would like to thank Vinny Cunningham, as without his help, this video would not have happened. I would also like to thank Billy Gallagher and Sean Coyle for their dedicated work in helping the video reach completion. Thanks to Ardnashee, The Undertones, Brunswick Moviebowl and everyone involved in pulling this very special project together. Thanks also to Robert Martin, Shauna McCartney and Lawrence Moore from Derry City for all their support. At Derry City Football Club, we are all Different Together.'
