Former Derry City and Northern Ireland U21 international goalkeeper, Nathan Gartside, has joined NIFL Premiership side Carrick Rangers.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper was keen to remain in the Premiership following Loughgall's relegation to the Championship.
Last season he made 36 appearances for Loughgall, keeping five clean sheets.
Prior to his spell at Loughgall, Gartside had two seasons at Cliftonville where he made 54 appearances for the Reds, with his final appearance coming as a first half substitute in the Reds’ Irish Cup Final victory over Linfield.
Gartside also spent four years at Derry City, playing 46 times for the Candystripes, following a spell at Watford.
On joining Carrick Rangers, Gartside commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to get it done. The last couple of weeks have been spent getting the details sorted. When Stephen rang me, it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.
“Stephen is a massive manager in Irish league football, so when he rang, you always entertain a conversation and for me it was a no brainer. The team is well set up, well drilled and hopefully his success at Crusaders continues here.”
Reflecting on his performances against the ‘Gers last season, he continued: “As a keeper, it’s your job to try to produce big moments in games. I’m here to try and produce those moments, produce the goods and a lot more.”

Manager Stephen Baxter added, “I am delighted to welcome Nathan Gartside to Carrick Rangers.
“Nathan is a goalkeeper who I have admired for quite some time. He has vast experience after spells in England as an academy player before returning home to Derry City.
“After impressive spells with Cliftonville and Loughgall we are thrilled that Nathan has decided to join the Amber Army and we are all looking forward to seeing him in Carrick Rangers colours next season. Welcome Nathan.”
