Promising midfielder Heidi Gill swaps Finn Harps for Derry City

Heidi Gill has signed for Derry City

Buncrana native Heidi Gill has moved to Derry City from Finn Harps.

Midfielder Gill was the captain of the Finn Harps Women’s U19s last season. She was named as the player of the year at the end of the season, sharing the accolade with Codie Walsh.

Now, the former Buncrana Hearts youth player has signed with Derry City, who play in the NIFL Women's Premiership.

The Candystripes said:  “She is someone Derry have been looking at for a long time now and we are delighted to finally get her onboard. We look forward to having her in and push the team on to the next level.”

Scoil Mhuire student Gill has been eyeing up a scholarship move to the United States and was recruited by GSR in late 2024.
