World's Strongest Men and Women are set to come to Derry.

Savage Strength in Pennyburn will host a World Record Breakers event for anyone around the world who thinks they can break a world record.

The event is being staged by Official Strongman, and it will give anyone the opportunity to come along and break a record.

Savage Strength will host the event this weekend, on April 12, with a start time of 12pm.

The gym hosted the event last year with the show split into two halves.

The first half was the log and deadlift world championships, with prizes for the biggest total in each category, the biggest total of the day, and pound for pound.

The second half of the day saw athletes take on classic events like; Axle Press, Monster Dumbbell, Farmers Walk, and Atlas Stones.

Savage Strength took to Facebook to share the news.

They said: “This weekend we do it all again.

“We have some of the strongest men and women in the world in attendance this weekend.

“This is an event not to be missed.

“Come watch history being written.”
