Winner Gavin Carlin presented by Louise Doherty
On Saturday last, the Donegal Open 2023 was held in Jackson's Hotel, Ballybofey with over 150 players entered in the youths, ladies and men's open events.
The standard was very high from the very start of all competitions. In the men's competition, Derry's Gavin Carlin was back to his best when he won the competition for a third time after he beat Donegal's Alan Hegarty in a very close affair when the first four legs went against the throw but Gavin stepped up his game and eventually won 7-4.

In the ladies competition, Denise Cassidy retained her title for the fourth time when she played a very high standard and beat Valerie Rooney in the final.
In the youths event, young Jack Porter following his good runs at the INDO youth competition beat a very strong Donegal Youth field competition of players and beat Gareth Brennan in the Final to win his first Donegal Youth title.
