Derry U16s

The victorious Derry team.

Derry 3-18
Kildare 2-6
DERRY lifted the U16 All Ireland B title in emphatic fashion on Saturday at Pairc Gratten, Inniskeen.
The young Oaks were fantastic throughout as they lead from the moment player of the match Leah Cassidy opened the scoring. Aoibh Mulholland struck a goal on three minutes and midway through the half they led 1-7 to 1-2. A second goal, this time from Cassidy on 23 minutes helped the Derry girls lead at the break 2-13 to 2-2. Their dominance continued on the resumption and Mulholland hit her second goal nine minutes from time. In the end they had 15 points to spare and a perfect boost for the senior girls ahead of next weekend's Intermediate final.
