Seven young dancers have been chosen to take part in a prestigious show in Belfast.

The dancers have been selected by audition to dance with the professional ballet company, the English Youth Ballet (EYB), in their Sleeping Beauty show at the Grand Opera House.

There will be three performances of the show this weekend, from April 25 to April 26.

The successful Derry dancers are Orla Canning, a pupil at Thornhill College, and Nicole Johnston, Amy Kilgore and Phoebe McCord, who are all pupils at Foyle College.

There will joined in the show by Eglinton girl Zoe Kyte, a pupil at Limavady Grammar School, who was also successful at the recent auditions.

Alix Hull, who is also a pupil at Limavady Grammar School, and Ellen McErlean, a pupil at St Mary’s High School in Limavady, have also been chosen to take part in the Belfast show.
