A warning has been issued to the Derry public to be vigilant over a HMRC phone scam.
There have been a number of reports of people receiving phonecalls from people claiming to be from the organisation in the last few months.
SDLP Foyle MLA Mark H Durkan said: "If you get a phonecall from someone claiming to be from HMRC, hang up and report it.
"It is a scam. Do not give these crooks any details."
