Derry Playhouse to stage Laurence McKeown's new border patrol play 'Blue & Green'

A new play exploring the “painful and humorous realities” faced by those who patrolled the border during “The Troubles” is to be staged Derry next month..
Kabosh Theatre begins its world tour of Laurence McKeown’s “Green & Blue” at the end of this month and will bring it to The Playhouse on Saturday, 5 November next.
Based on an oral archive of serving RUC and An Garda Síochána officers, collected by Diversity Challenges, this new production fuses theatre and film to look at the person behind the uniform and the different experiences of two individuals on either side of a line in the ground.
Directed by Paula McFetridge and performed by James Doran and Vincent Higgins, it challenges assumptions about policing in our heritage and opens a discussion on the future of policing in Ireland. Each performance will be followed by a facilitated discussion.
Tickets priced £10/£8 can be booked at the venue, online at www.derryplayhouse.co.uk or by phone on 028 7126 8027.
