Cian, P5 There are a lot of people in the school and they are very friendly. We have different clubs after school, as well as our Friday Football League. I am on the School Council and we talk about how we can get everyone involved in the activities in St Eithne’s. We want your photos to feature on the website via our Camera Club. Do you have a great photo from life in the locality? Whether it’s a party, wedding, communion, landscape, a quirky shot from your archives, or a simple everyday moment, we want your snapshots. We are inviting people to share photos that capture the spirit of the county. From special occasions to quieter moments, your pictures help tell the story of everyday life in our community. To submit: Go to the Camera Club page and follow the instructions to upload your photo. Include your name, where it was taken, and a short caption if you can.  Your photo could be featured on our website and newspaper and seen by readers across the county and beyond.  TAP HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PICTURES TODAYplaceholder image

The students of St Eithne's Primary School tell The Derry News what their favourite thing is about the school and what they would say to encourage a friend to come to the school

Cora, P5 What I like about St Eithne’s is the choir and how they sing at the different events. I am in the choir and Mr Conaghan teaches us all our songs. We have sung at Derry Feis and we have won trophies.

Emily, P5 My favourite thing about St Eithne’s is the Santa Grotto at Christmas time and the fun playground.

Leah, P5 I like St Eithne’s because we have lots of different rooms like the Umbrella Room and the Computer Room and we have a big sports hall too. We each have a day to go to the Umbrella Room and we do fun and relaxing activities. I would tell my friends to come to St Eithne’s because all of the teachers are so nice.

Lochlann, P6 I came to St Eithne’s last year into Primary 5. I love the school because the teachers are really funny and if you need help, they will give you help. I would tell my friends to come to St Eithne’s because the staff are really good and there are a lot of activities and it is really fun and a good way to make new friends.
