Derry students crowned Ulster Irish Dancing Champions

A couple of Derry students have been crowned champions in the Ulster Irish Dancing Championships. 

Ryan Sheerin (Year 10) and Ben Farren (Year 12), were crowned champions in their respective age groups in Dundalk at The Fairways Hotel, between Thursday October 31 and Sunday November 3.

St. Columb’s College were quick to congratulate their students about their victory, as they can now call themselves ‘Ulster Champions’.

The school wrote on Facebook: “Ulster Champions!

“A huge Comhghairdeas is due to Ryan Sheerin (10B) and Ben Farren (12D) who were both crowned champions in the recent Ulster Irish Dancing Championships held in Dundalk at the weekend. Both boys were placed 1st in their respective age categories. 

“Maith sibh.”
