Air Ambulance lands at Derry school to deal with nearby incident

NI Air Ambulance lands at St Joseph's Boys' School to deal with a medical emergency in a private residence nearby.

The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said:

“It landed in the school grounds as it was the nearest safe landing site when the crew was tasked to attend a medical emergency in a nearby private residence.”

NIAS could not comment further.

A PSNI spokesperson said:

"Police attended the scene of a sudden death in the Beechwood Avenue area of Derry / Londonderry today, Monday 4th December. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."
